  • Mikuni Carb/ Rotary Valve

I recently rebuilt my mikuni carbs for my 1996 Sea Doo GSX.

During the carb cleaning I also disassembled the engine top end for inspection and replacement of o'rings.

Upon reinstalling carb to engine I got thinking about the Rotary Valve. During the top end inspection I spun engine a few times.

Do I have to spin shaft so the Rotary Valve is sitting in a certain position before installing carbs?

    Thanks guys

As long as you never took the RV off, or at least put it in the same location, you will be fine.

It sounds like you are saying that you have removed the rotary valve cover and maybe the rotary valve too ?
If so, then yes, you must retime the rotary valve. A guide to doing that is available here at the SBT website.
