I know the compression should be check at WOT but what kinda compression should you see by just turning the engine over and not starting it on a 96 GTX 787?

Also i am wanting to do away with my stock pump and add a mikuni high flow pump to feed both carbs, do i need to remove the stock pump or can i just block off the pulse port on the stock pump?

    Re: compression

Depending on your elevation and any mods you already have in place... 130-150 would be a good compression.

Take in mind, that not al gauges read the same.. The main thing is that they are within 10% of eachother...

for your mikuni external pump, you would need to remove and block off the existing fuel pump... The question I have is.. WHY? The stock pumps are more than adequate in providing enough fuel to even modded carbs..

      Re: compression

the topend has already been rebuilt becuase it ran to lean from fuel flow. so i wanna make sure that both carbs get the amount of fuel they need.

That's not going to help... It could make things worse.. Have a shop professionally rebuild your cabs...
