I have 98 GTI that beeps verys faintly when connecting the DESS lanyard. The ki cranks and runs great. I bought a used beeper and get the same results. I actually took the beeper and touched each lead momentarily to a 12 volt car battery and the beep was faint. Bad Beepers? I just want to be able to hear the beeper if I m running down the lake.

Mine does the same thing some times. The beeper is on its way out.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
