oil in water

  • oil in water

    Noticed water in my oil, very milky. can only assume some kind of leak from water jackets in the head and cylinder. what should I look for?
    other than that motor runs good (95 xp 717 motor)

    Where did you witness this on the ski?

      noticed it in the oil tank and in the lines.

        My guess wouldn't be the motor, my guess would be to inspect the tank and cap assembly.

        You will need to drain and extract ALL the oil though, through all the lines. Then re-fill and purge the system.

          This problem has happens in many Rotax 582 Ultralight (Airplane) engines.

          The problems is the seals on the Rotary Shaft Valve thats allow water to pass to the 2 Cycle oil and its make it looks milky color.

          You can do a search about Rotax 582 on ultralight Forums and you will see some have experienced this same problem.
