spi question

Just wondering does anyone know if a bigger engine can fit in a 96 spi hull. The 587 isnt cutting it anymore

I am pretty sure that all hulls are the same from 96... 97 they change them...

So, you should be able to take the 787 motor from an XP and put it in, might need to change the driveshaft, but otherwise it should ALMOST be a direct swap in.......

Correct me if I am wrong anyone, but my bro has the 96 SP, and another friend has a 95 XP, both the same hull, just different color and engines...

Your wrong :) With the 587 bed plate design you can fit up to a 717 motor.

Installing a 787 would fabricating motor mount locations and a general PAIN...
