The vane can be ground down and reshaped if it's not too big - otherwise you need to send it to www.impros.com for some reconstruction. The scratches will make you cavitate out the hole if bad enough. It will only get worse, too.

I sucked up some rocky sand and scratched the wear ring, but worst of all it looks like one vain has a dime size piece missing on the front edge. How will this effect my performance and should I replace the entire pump? -
