  • Sea Doo Supercharger rebuild after 100 hours

My 2006 Sea Doo RXP just hit 100 hours. I was told by the Sea Doo dealer that after 100 hours it is best to have the supercharger rebuilt because if it comes apart it could destroy the motor. Just wanted to know if this statement is true. Anybody have any take on this.
    Thanks

Very true. In fact SD has now made it part of the routine maintenance you are to perform. The 100 hour service IS the S/C rebuild.

You have an 06, so you have ceramic washers which are the BAD ones. You need to get it rebuilt with the 08 update kit and metal washers.

If you don't want to pay massive $$ to a dealer, you can send your charger to GreenHulk and he will do it for a good price. All you have to do is pull the charger (a little tricky, but not too bad).

Yes, very important to keep the supercharger in good operating condition otherwise you could end up rebuilding 3/4 of your engine. If the supercharger is not maintained it could fail and send metal pieces through the oil passages in the engine and damage the oil pumps and so on. SBT sells the supercharger rebuild kit and all the tools needed, our kit also comes with the stainless steel washers.
