  • 1994 Seadoo XP Starting

When I try starting the machine there is just a clicking coming out of the CDI box, just wondering if there is an easy fix or if I should take it to someone to get it fixed...

    What's your battery voltage?

Likely a low voltage scenario or a bad starter solenoid.. Easy fix either way.

I just put in a new battery, tested it and it is fully charged, so i guess it is the starter solenoid

Bad starter.. or the bendix could be stuck in the "up" position. Can you turn the motor over by hand by grabbing and spinning the PTO? That might loosen it if the bendix is stuck.

so it can be the starter causing the problem even if the clicking if coming from the starter solenoid?

ok so I pulled the starter, the bendix was stuck.. i tried hooking the starter direct to the battery but nothing happened, should that engage the starter?

Yes, that should make it turn. The bendix got stuck and the starter fried because it couldnt turn. Have it rebuilt or buy a new one.
