  • 96 XP hard starting in the water

The ski starts fine on the trailer or hoist cold, and in the water once it's warmed up but it's extremly cold blooded when first started cold in the water.I removed the choke plates and instaled a primer and that helped to get it to fire but it stalls and I usually have to use the throttle and primer both to get it going and play it just right so I don't flood it out.Once its warm it runs great and idles good.I checked the rotary valve clearance and that was .010 and retimed it,same results.Any ideas on what else I should look for would be appreciated. Thanks

You may be lean on the low-speed screws. Try turnign them out 1/8th of a turn and see if it improves.
