shuts off

I have a 94xp , when i start to go about 1/4 throttle it shuts off, like the killswitch was depressed, starts back up instantly, this started as a intermittet problem , now i am unable to get to half throttle, checked for chaffed wires, grounds secure.

Any ideas?

Possibly fuel related? When is the last time the carbs have been rebuilt and the fuel system cleaned?

Did you cut back the sparkplug cables, this might help.

Thanks I will try the this first and then if no luck, tackle the fuel system
