Re: Molykote 111 substitute
Go to Napa or autozone and see what they have, I'm sure they have some type of molycoat grease.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

Re: Molykote 111 substitute
Molykote 111 is a silicone based water valve and plumbing lubricant/sealant. Molykote is the brand name, there is no moly in this product. This product is normally used by BRP to lubricate the oil seals and their mating surfaces or as a lube/light sealer for threaded fasteners....I usually just use plain old marine grade grease. In BRP's older service manuals they called for synthetic grease instead of the Molykote 111 for the same application(s). I use Bel-Ray or Silkolene. http://www.belray.com/consumer/product.fsp?pid=1326 <OR> http://www.silkoleneusa.com/img.aspx?OBJ_ID=1048935Last edited by John Kubiak; 11-15-2009, 01:30 PM.John Kubiak
