not too much... The easiest mod you can do and not risk putting too much strain on the motor is to pull the stock airbox off and replace them with aftermarket flame arrestors (F/A's). You will have to pull and re-jet the carbs.

i have an 95 xp with some type of racein crabs are that is what i was told they was on it will they fit on the gti

Depends on the carbs off the 95, and if your xp is a 717 motor (not a 787).

If it is a 717, then you should be able to just swap them right over. You might have to play with your impeller pitch a little too.

Don't expect miracles from that old 3-seater. You will gain 1..maybe 2 mph, and a little (and I mean a little) more grunt out of the hole.

does it look just like the 96?? With the sparkplugs straight up and down? If so, then yes, it's a 717. If the sparkplugs are slanted with the motor to the left (drivers, port) side then it's a 787.

both motors look the same so that makes them the 717 right?
