03 GTX SC ~ Oil pressure regulator possible release?

Installed a new SBT engine and run good for about an hour, then I noticed oil in hull, possible oil pressure regulator released the oil? What would cause the high pressure condition? I added 4.8 qt of oil when installing engine.

If the regulator did release, how can you tell? Do you have to install a new one?

A stuck oil pressure valve in the pto housing can cause high oil pressure.
