My 97 GTI idles and runs fine at low RPM. However, when I give it full throttle it will Rev up and then die down, almost quit. Sounds like a fuel problem but I'm not sure. I winterized it including fuel stabilizer and fogging oil last fall. Does anyone have any suggestions? thanks

Take it easy, you can easily blow your motor doing that!

Tech, thanks for the quick reply. Take what easy? I was in the water when the problem occured and I was not giving the throttle an all-at-once command but gradually adding power when the the engine would cut back.Comment
