  • Newly rebuilt SBT 787 install help

Hey I just got my newly rebuilt motor and bolted on the exhaust, flywheel, rotary cover and the carbs. I was reading the manual and saw I need to put oil in the balancing thing. On the manual, there was a fill in the case to put the oil. My engines isnt there. There is the area where it would be but there is no screw tapped into it. Do I need to put oil in their or will the oil from the tank go in there automatically? Im just confused. Also whats the next step I need to take before putting the engine back into the boat. I dont want to mess this one up like I think I did the last. Thanks in advance for the guidance. I need the steps involved in putting this boat back in the water. -Casey

Casey, sbt fills the counterbalancer area with oil as we build the engine. You will need to hook up the oil lines to the rotary valve area ( each side of the case ) to get the oil from the oil tank back into this section to lube the rotary shaft.
