    Well, you can get it machined out.. But that groove was caused by something going through the motor, either through the intake, or a bearing / ring has let go inside the motor. Where is that piece of debris now??

    I would also be concerned about that large crack on the lower case half, where the case bolt goes (upper picture, lower right side)

      The crack you are seeing is only in the paint. There are no cracks in the block. I had a problem with the rear cylinder (broken ring) and a piece of it is what caused this groove. I have removed all of the metal fragments from the block and the crankshaft spins freely.
