2000 rx mid range bog

2000 rx starts, idles,runs great except @ mid range if you ease into throttle or hold throttle @ mid range, engine starts slowing down and will die. engine will start right back up and idle & run fine except @ mid range. holeshot from idle is also perfect. Tried adjusting low speed needles on carbs but no help. high speed was left alone @ 0 turns. any ideas, could it be carbs or rave valves? compression and spark are fine. Thanks for any help.

accelerator pump?? Sounds like you are too lean to me. Have you cleaned the carbs?

cleaned acc. pump, was clogged on output side. To begin with, would not get holeshot without dying out. cleaned acc. pump & now holeshot is perfect. have not cleaned carbs. only problem is mid range, can get past mid range & runs fine.

I would say it's time to look into the carbs
