seadoo 03 not enough at top end

I have a seadoo 03 gti le rfi. Just put a new motor from sbt and it runs great except it only goes 43 MPR at 6350 RPM. Also replaced impller and wear ring. Any ideas ,thanks

I have an 04 doing the same thing, was told by an SBT tech, it needs a rotary valve adjustment.
I thought they were factory installed and adjusted. need more research before tearing onto it.

The rotary valve is re-installed by the customer or shop when re-installing the motor.
