98 XP Limited sluggish up to 3000 rpm

my ski is sluggish up to 3000 rpm and once above it runs fine, tried new plugs and no change. ran fine all summer and few days prior. I have to idle 15 min to get to the bay from house. is this bad for the ski to go 15 mins, will it load up.

Soudns like your accelerator pump is clogged.

Time for a carb cleaning / rebuild.

whats the accelerator pump, the fuel pump?
also just check under the rave covers and pto rave is pretty oilly on top to the one side
I checked this cause to shop manual says if peak performance is delayed untill higher rpm range is reached then rave valve may be stuck open. would the oil indicate that.

yes it would. It's pretty easy to remove and clean the raves.

well i guess ill start with removing the raves and cleaning them
