  • Compression Question

Quick Question: What should the compression be on a 1996 Sea Doo GTI? It has the 717, twin carb engine.

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Compression Question

Between 130-160 depending on the internals, usage and the type of gauge you are using.

Thank you Dan. Stock internals, ordinary usage and a gauge we got at Harbor Freight.

        Re: Compression Question

The main thing about compression tests is to make sure your cyls are within 10% of eachother. So, if one cyl is 140, the other should be between 126-154... Usually, any more than that and you have some serious issues with the lower cyl.
