When removing the jet pump from a 95 SPX, the driveshaft should slide out as well correct? Is there anything else i need to do internally to pull it out? To me, just tugging and tugging isnt the answer but I could be very wrong.

    Re: jet pump removal

Not always. Sometimes the driveshaft will stay with the PTO.

The main thing on those skis is to MAKE SURE you have disconnected the bailer tubes and main water in line from the transom, where it goes through the hull. On those old style pumps there are plastic tubes that go through the hull that the lines connect to. Those tubes are connected to the pump. Failing to disconnect the lines will result in a lot of frustration, possibly a broken pump and possibly an accidental fire in the ski when you pour gas in the bilge and introduce and open flame... :)
