What does a fuel baffle do? And ould the fuel baffle in a 95 Seadoo SPX gum up and cause bogging? Ive ordered the filter screen for it but was wondering if it was a good idea to replace the baffle as well..

    Re: fuel baffle

You can service the screen. Just need to pull the baffle out. All the baffle is, is a tube that holds the main, reserve and return pick up tubes. It also houses the sensor magnet for the fuel gauge reading.

Usually, the bogging would be caused by the fuel selector valve before the baffle is ever an issue.

      Re: fuel baffle

ok thanks. i did order a new fuel selector valve too along with the baffle screen. I have rebuilt the carbs, replaced all the fuel lines, new fuel filter, put in the correct resistor plugs, and the two new parts on their way..surely this thing should be ready to go this year if its the fuel system causing the bogging!
