2006 sea doo challenger

Good afternoon, I just bought a 2006 challenger and love it. It runs great, but I noticed the tach runs high even at 1/2 throttle. I had it checked out when I bought it and all passed. I was just wandering if that is common for this model? There is no red line on the tach and even when it runs high the engine sounds fine. example: 1/2 throttle can run as high as 6500-7000 rpm on a 8000 rpm guage. Again no red line on guage.

It has a rev-limiter built in so don't worry about red line issue.
