  • 717 slightly lower compression on one cylinder

have a 1997 speedster. one engine wouldnt give full power. did a compression check. one had 135 psi the other around 120 psi. took the top end off and the pistons, rings and cylinder look fine. could low oil cause this? do i need new cylinders and pistons or try just new rings?

    thanks

If your cylinders are in good shape, re-hone them and do new piston and rings. If they are worn and scared up then maybe do a cylinder exchange kit.
