Question about vts motor with pics

Bought a used vts motor off ebay for my 1995 seadoo xp 717. The motor came off a 1994 xp 657. The only problem I've run into is the 4 bolts coming from the back of vts cover to hold motor in place is to big for this motor holes. I've attached pics of what im talking about. Any suggestions on what if anything I can do. Bore holes out the fit motor holes?

That's because the 94xp had the trip motor up front in a completely different mounting box. The 95 system is completely different. You can try and make it work, but it may not.
