  • Sea Doo Dess Key

    Have a 1996 Sea Doo that beeped once and wouldn't start. Ended up being dess key got new one programmed and now is fine. Just curious,what normally make the keys go bad?

    The key has a chip in it; the computer is what holds the keys chip i.d. in memory, its not normal for it to happen but does sometimes.

      In my case, the DESS key had a magnet and it picked up a screw and wasn't making good contact. Took that tiny screw out and life was good.
      Red 03 GTX SC and Yellow 03 GTX SC

        Yes they do have magnets to trigger the electrical on, but the chip is the part that gives connection through the security system.
