  • Sea doo ignition Question

On this nnightmare explorer that I am trying to get started .I have read about a series of beeps when you push the key on.Is this true for 94 models also. The thing will only try to run as long as you hold button. As soon as you let off it shuts off.Was running perfect before it sat up for one season.I have rebuilt the carbs thinking this was the problem.Nice guy at SeaDOO shop says put an engine in it.Is it possible the key on the flywheel has slipped? Please give me an idea where to start. Thanks,Mike

    Re: Sea doo ignition Question

No, broken key is not the issue, when you hit the start button it also provides power to the emm to wake up and run, this power should stay on when the engine starts, if not then the engine will die out when you let off the start button. We dont have the electrical diagrams for the explorer but you can try seadoomanuals.net they may have a free down load to help you trouble shoot the issue.
