2003 Seadoo GTX 4-tec limited 185 hp Supercharged, I am replacing my wear ring and impeller. The new wear ring I purchased from SBT fits snugly but not tight. The repair manuals show using a press or a block of wood to put it in. I am able to push it in with my hands and pull it out with my hands. I checked and it is the correct one according to the listing on the page 78-112a-02. Has anyone else seen this? Should I go and purchase an OEM wear ring? I appreciate any advice!!!

Use the set screws to hold the ring in place, this is normal with the plastic pump housings.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

Loctite is not needed, install the set screws the way the factory had them set, drill a pilot hole for the screw in the wear ring so the ring doesn't pinch the impeller.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
