  • e-temp light

While riding this afternoon the e-temp light flashed, buzzer sounded and engine power cut way down. Back at dock after a 10 min no wake zone bike would barely run. I couldn't dig into it but I am thinking maybe thermostat?

It's a 05 Seadoo RXT 4-tech supercharged. Bike was launched last weekend with 157 hr's. I just installed a rebuilt supercharger, changed oil, filter and plugs. Bike was running strong and was ridden at 5 hours since launch on three different days before condition started.

assuming the sensor in the waterbox is plugged in. start looking for blockage and or leaks, blown cooling hose in the exhaust etc etc... hopefully you didn`t hurt the engine or exhaust system running back to the dock...

There are 3 small holes in the J-pipe that flow water down over the temp sensor, they may become blocked and prevent the correct water flow over the sensor and the sensor will trigger, remove the J-pipe and clean out the holes this should fix the issue.
