I siphoned the gas, bled out all lines, getting plenty of fuel, excellent spark, 90 lbs compression on both cylinders. Everything checks out. Front spark plug is pretty and white after a test run but back plug looks oily. If I didn't know better I'd think the exhaust system has a restriction but the back plug looking oily leads me to suspect an injector problem since there was water in the gas and this scooter was brought to me after it had set up a month or so. Not sure what the symptoms are for a bad injector nor how to check it out. Any advice or other diagnostic procedure would be helpful. I've already taken it to a dealer who charged me $300 to run B.U.D.S. on it and replace the rectifier which didn't do anything for the cranking & running. It still has little power with a top speed of 10 mph, max rpm so far has been 3240.
.... not sure how to check injectors but with a volt/ohm meter I got the same reading on both injectors and the same voltage outputs on the wires to each injector. I disconnected one then started the engine then disconnected the other and started the engine. Both times it started on one cylinder and appeared to run the same... with no injectors connected it would not started at all. So, this leads me to believe the injectors are functioning.
