GTI LE RFI '04 - Changing out engine and everything

Has anyone attempted, and successfully gutted a Seadoo?

I'm not sure the mounting or hull will fit: (wanting to go from a 787 RFI to a 4TEC 155)

I have a '04 Seadoo GTI LE RFI and the 4TEC 155 engine that I'm looking at which fits the same year model of the Seadoo Wake...

Is it worth the headache to upgrade engines, or should I stick with the original engine type?
I'm wanting to pull my daughter on a wakeboard this summer, and thinking the 4TEC 155, would give us more front end power.

Thoughts... suggestions???

Its a big job and will cost more than just finding a GTX or GTI 155. Anything can be done but how much time and money do you want to throw at it? Its cheaper to find the right ski.
