  • Oil reservoir line to bottom of crank

I have a oil line about 18 inches long that goes from the oil tank to the bottom of the crankcase that leaks. I took it off and replaced it with some black plastic hose from Home Depot, as that was the only place that had 1/2 I.D. The oil does not leak anymore. Will this be ok for now till I can get the proper oil hose or should I not take a chance on running motor with this hose. Thanks

As long as the oil doesn't make the hose soft. Just keep an eye on it.

look up tygon hose on net, to see whats in your local area , you can find it in different sizes, go to a lawnmower repair shop, they have rolls of it in all different sizes, also have the 3/32 size for oil injection
