I recently finished installing my new 717 engine and have yet to solve a power issue. It typically starts right up and idles fine. Break-in went as expected. Now that I can really get into it, when I give it WOT from a stop I get a takeoff but after a delay of maybe 5 seconds I finally get full power. Its almost like flipping a switch. Then, lets say after cutting a hard turn I get a serious bogging. Then again after 5 seconds of so... she takes off. I was advised to simply replace the carb, as it seemed to be the issue, but was impossible to tune out. It did help some, and at factory settings. But still a delay and finally takeoff. Also.. during that delay, if I get the intake out of the water (due to chop) it takes off instantly. Ive rechecked the rotary valve twice, and tested for air leaks around the intake intake path. HELP!!!
