What is the best cylinder base gasket sealer for the 787?
I have 1211, what does SBT use to seal they cylinders to the case in addition to the base gasket?

The three bond 1211 is good stuff.
We use Loctite 40479.

I`m not finding that part number locally, is it similar to 40480 Loctite Ready Gasket?

I have the 3 bond 1211 on hand, if you were to choose what`s your flavor?

just to update: I used the 1211 on the base gasket. 518 anerobic on the cylinder bolt threads, grease under the head bolts. and for the head/cover> 518 in the cylinder O ring groove, Ultra black RTV thin coat on the head cover O ring, grease on the bolt threads and 242 loctite under the head.
after allowing for a full cure time, pressure tested the engine/case and cooling passages several times, both passed with flying colors!
