  • 2001 SeaDoo LRV electrical issue??????

Have a 2001 Sea Doo LRV changed fuel lines pulled and cleaned carbs and installed rebuild kits changed fuel petcock. When running ski acts like its going to take off and run gets up to 4500 (sometimes 4700) rpms and stays there won't go anymore, steady at 4500 rpms. Pull the choke and it kills the engine as it should, which indicates it's not fuel? Right? I have changed out the ignition coils and tried a different MPEM made no difference. Any suggestions. Thanks is advance

Your R.A.V.E. valves may not be opening which would cause your engine to not reach the maximum RPM. You are going to have to check your R.A.V.E. valve solenoid and trace your pulse line running from the bottom of the crankcase running to the solenoid and then running to the valves themselves for any cracks or breakage.

Can it rev past the 4500 RPM on the trailer? Obviously you would not want to sustain this RPM by any means on the trailer but, just as a check I would see if it does.
