    Sea Doo RXT-X255 Engine oil capacity

    My operators guide for the 2008 RXT -255 states:
    The engine oil capacity is 3L (2.7 U.S. Qt) oil change w/ filter, 4.5L (4.1 U.S. Qt) total
    If i change the oil and filter do i add only 3L of new oil? Does 1.5 L remain in the engine ? In a car normally if i change oil without changing the filter the total amount of oil required would be a quart less than if i changed the filter
    i have sucked the oil out and got 2 quarts of old oil
    Can anyone explain how much oil is required when replacing the filter and oil?

    the thing to do is to add what you removed then check the oil as the manual says to,and yes there is always oil left in the motor

      The concern i have is that i am switching crankcase oil from Sea Doo conventional oil to Amsoil Syn Oil. If i am leaving 2 quarts of Sea Doo oil in the engine and adding the synthetic oil i feel that could be a problem by mixing two different types of oil
      What do you think?
