  • Sea-Doo 4-Tec Mystery Part

I am rebuilding a 2006 RXT that was partially disassembled by the previous owner and have one part that I cannot figure out where it goes. The piece is a cylinder about 1/2 x 2 inches, the narrow end is spring loaded, the narrow end also has a small hole in the wall, and it was in an area of the PTO cover that was well oiled.

Could someone help me with what this piece is and where it should be installed? I can't find a reference in the shop manual or the online parts diagrams.

    Thanks,
    Zac

that would be your chain tensioner,it is located under a allen head cap and puts tension on the chain guide
