A 96 Sea Doo Challenger. I could be wrong but I feel it has cavitation problems.

    1. Found the Impeller housing was damaged, installed a new one from Sea Doo which included a new wear ring and bearings.

    2. Impeller clearance was about .022 which was within specs for a used one but installed a reconditioned impeller from SBT and clearance is now .008.

    3. New neoprene seal installed with installation.

    Still no speed.

Engine runs t 7200 rpm on land but in water tops out at about 4500/5000

    1. Cleaned carbs and check fixed jets.... they were sized as original

    2. High speed mixture screws are new from SBT and set to 0 as indicated by SeaDoo

    3. Low speed screw is presently set to 1 -1/8 as indicated by SeaDoo.

    Still no speed.

    Help!!!!

    Thanks

Sucking air through driveshaft bearing? Check ignition timing? Check engine compression? Fuel lines sucking air? Are your fuel lines original? Check fuel filter? Did you use original needle valve springs? Did u perform a pop off test on carbs? I did my carbs recently and was surprised the leaks I had afterwards (one in the carb body itself, a couple in the lines between carbs). Pressurize them and spray them with soapy water
