  • This question has never been asked before.... ;)

I have a 1995 Seadoo Sportster jetboat. It originally came from the factory with a 657x. However, I bought it with a seized 717 installed. The previous owner was using older mikuni carbs and intake manifold on the 717 (that may be the reason why it seized). Anyway, I installed a new 717 and bought the correct intake manifold and carbs. Everything is working great except the choke cable. The choke cable currently in the boat has the typical cable with lead barrel on the end. The choke cable I need for the 717 carbs has a straight rigid shaft that runs through the choke levers. Now to my question:

What choke cable should I buy that will be long enough for my jetboat but has the straight shaft on the end?

    TIA

This is the longest choke cable we would have, but I don't think it is long enough for your jet boat.

Thanks. I guess I gotta pull the choke cable and measure. Thankfully, not that hard.
