I have a 2006 gtx 4 tec. Last season my gauge
cluster was very dim and then went completely crazy. Found a new gauge that is compatible and brought it to my local dealer for flashing and marrying the gauge to my ski. When I got my Seadoo back, it started up and said it needs maintance (dealer said that was fine there was no time on the cluster and he could not clear it). I also noticed a T-403 (this number is always changing fluctuating +\- 1-2 up and down but now seems to be in the lower 200 range) and the rpms go from 0 to 5000 with no inbetween. I took the ski out and it ran great.
I spoke with the the dealer and they told me all they did was marry the ski to the gauge that flashing is not needed. He said he should have checked for updates but was unsure if he did. It was my understanding that the correct program needed to be loaded on to the gauge. The dealer said there is nothing to load on the gauge that the software is on it. I am bringing the ski back up to him for them to check for updates, but I am not sure that is going to help. Has anyone had this problem and how did you resolve it. Thanks guys
