  • Help, How can i tell if motors locked up

I am a mx person and have rebuilt several motorcycle motors. I am new to the watercraft world. How can i be sure the motors are locked before tearing them out. When i tri to start all i get is a loud beep.

Try turning the rear coupler with your hands. Make sure the pump is clear of any debris that may have gotten sucked into the impellor/pump area.

A single beep on a sea doo indicates that you may have the wrong tether key for that mpem. They are programmed for each key for security.
Find the correct lanyard key, or take the ski and tether to a dealership for programming. The correct key will produce two short beeps when you attach it to the lanyard post.

That means the lanyard is bad, the post is bad or there is dirt on the contacts. Make sure it's all clean and if that fails you NEED to take it to a dealer so they can test the MPEM, post and lanyard with the dealer computer.
