  • Single carb 720

I just bought my first Sea Doo last week. I've owned 3 Polaris watercraft, and I've seen 3 holes burned in the PTO piston. Decided to try something else. It turned out to be a 97 GTS with a single carb 720. I put in a fresh set of gapped plugs and did a plug read. The front plug looks almost perfect. Nice and brown on the rim with just a small amount of soot/ash on either side of the electrode. The rear plug looks like it may be just a tad lean. My question is, with a single carb, how do you get each plug to look the same? Kinda nervous about running lean after the luck I've had in the past!!

You can't. As long as you don't see one actualy running lean, you're fine - they will not be identical.
