  • yahoooo they run good

after a little carb tuning on my 97 gsx it runs good and replaced the rectifyer(seeing the case was full of water)on my 96 gtx and that is running good except for a cavitation problem .
i have allready resealed the intake chute, grate, pump, and replaced the wear ring. i guess my next move would be to replace the prop.
can i replace the gtx prop with mine out of the gsx?i would like to get a prop to get me out of the hole quicker on the gsx.
any suggestions on what type and pitch i should look for?
    thanks for all the help
    it is appreciated

    16x24 Swirl from skat Trak.

Did you remove the ride shoe and reseal it? That is what is usually the problem with a badly cavatating 1996-1997 GTX.

i sealed everything i thought pretty well.i did not think the ride plate itself would require much sealant as i thought (probably wrong)that it did not have anything to do with channeling water up to the prop.i did seal the edges of it.
i did the intake grate, intake chute, and pump housing.
if it does turn out to be the prop can i replace it with my stock prop from my 97 gsx?
      thanks
