95XP VTS Trim system

Greetings,

The last time the XP was used was about 1 month ago, and all was well. Now the trim does not work, IE: pushing the up and down buttons do not move the nozzle. Any common known problems with this system before I get involved taking it apart.

Check the fuse, then look in the trim box for water.

The most common problem is the boot in the rear next to the pump that seals the shaft coming thru the hull.

The boots had metal clamps that cut the boot and produced a hole and leaks into the VTS housing.

The fix is a new boot with plastic clamps, my marina supplied the clamps and knew about the service notice from Seadoo.....
