  • thru hull fitting

i have a 95 xp which about three years ago, the bearing on the thru hull fitting broke and flooded the engine compartment. i noticed on my buddy's 97 spx 800, it didn't look like he a had the same setup. is their a bearing or seal to wear out on his,i didn't see a grease fitting.

there is a carbon ring that seals the driveshaft thru the hull.

No, your driveshaft will not accept the retainer clip for the carbon seal.

Here is a tip. Grease it when you finish riding it for the weekend, after you use the pwc, to push any water from the bearings that may get into the past the seal and into the bearings. Same goes for trailer wheel bearings.
