650 or 718?

i'm still confused which engine i have for a 95 SPX. someone said 650 but there is a 96 with a 718 on ebay, did they upgrade the engine the next year?

what does the SPX mean vs the SP? sea doo is very confusing with their letter model systems...

You have a 650. The SPX is a higher end model compared to the SP. In 96 the SPX came with the 720. The SP had a 580 that year.

i'll keep you mind to bug as i get this thing ready for the season...
