Is there a tach lead coming out of the HX MPEM?

At first glance, I don't see one.

On that note, is there a tach lead coming out of a 95 xp or other 720 MPEM. What do those skis use for the tach signal?

BTW, thanks for the earlier reply!

There was a tach kit available for the HX, I don't know if it is still available. Here are the numbers though.295 500 459 Tachometer (56 mm) (fits HX 97, SP 97, GTS 97-98, SPX 98)

Hi John Thanks for the part numbers.

OK, I found the wiring diagrams in my clymers manual.

It shows the tach getting its signal from the yellow/black wire out of the magneto, and of course +12v and ground.

BTW, if anyone needs some GM weatherpack or AMP Superseal (Sea Doo style) wiring connectors, there is a high performance shop in my home town that is great to deal with and has great prices on this stuff. They also have waterproof aircraft and mill spec switches and teflon coated wire.

They make wiring harnesses for race cars.

I'm not affiliated with them at all, but if you need the connectors wire or switches, they are a great resource.
