• Dumb Move - Reversed battery connections

OK, I did a really dumb move, connected the battery with the terminals reversed.
Tried to start and nothing happened...not even a beep.
Connected wires red to + and black to -.
Battery charged.
Now nothing. No beep when I plug in the key.
What did I break?
1996 GXI w/717 engine.

Boy am I dumb.

Help!

Yup - open your electrical boxes and check your fuses.

Well, considering that there is no such boat as a GXi, it's hard to say exactly there are two electrical boxes in the boat...one by the gas tank, and another by the battery itself. Check the one by the Battery first...it's easier to access.

you will see the size of the fuse on the fuse.
my friend did that also to his machine and all that happened was he blew just about every fuse and that was it
