I have a '94 SPX and can't get the carbs dialed in. I just put in new gasket sets but have a hesitation when accelerating. It idles fine but when you accelerate it tries to die. If you can get it to rev up it will run fine but takes a little to idle down. The mag carb seems to be ok but the pto carb looks a little lean. What needs to be done? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

No one can get you dialed in over the net but we can make sugestions based on where your needles are set right now, and how your plugs look after doing controlled plug chops, as detailed in our tech section here.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

I am assuming you cleaned the internal filters when you had them off the boat and that you are POSITIVE that the carb base gaskets are installed correctly. It is VERY easy to screwup on the gaskets.
If so, you need to open the low speed adjuster needles enough to get it to accellerate.Bill O'Neal WCM

i have screwed up on the base gasket causing an air leak between the carb and intake and the ski would not accelerate at all unless the choke was pulled out half way, then i was able to draw enough fuel through the other holes in the carbs to get it to run right. when i took the carbs off for inspection, that is when i found the gasket not on the intake correctly. try pulling out the choke to see if it helps.cameron "da river rat"<br />3x pro runabout 720 engine blower!<br />(jetskianist~adictionist~modificationist)
