  • 96 seadoo oil?

Its about time I need to go out and get some more oil for my 96xp. I want to stick with the Seadoo oil. I have noticed that seadoo makes about 3 different oils. xpsII, injection oil, and some other. Anyways, I was at Walmart today and noticed that they now carry Seadoo oil. The lable says injection oil. What kind of oil do I need to be running in this machine. Some people told me the xps stuff because its a synthetic. Is the injection oil a synthetic? Thanks very much.

Ok sounds good. That is what I thought I should run. Now only if we could get wallmart to cary that kind of oil. Wallmart has some pretty good prices on oil.

The xpsII (synthetic) was developed for the injected motors, but works very well in all of them. They had to have an oil that had better film & lube qualities because the DI motors don't have fuel going thru the crankcase to help distribute the oil. Also in the cold (snowmobiles) it flows better than mineral oil.
The oil that says Injection oil is a mineral based oil, still good but not for injected motors.

whats the "other" sea doo oil torquen mentioned?
There used to be a plain xps synthetic, which is what was actually originally specified for
that 96. I didn't think they made that any more
though. Of course the 96 doesn't need DI oil, but it does need low ash api-tc.

XPS II replaced both XPS and XPS DI which are no longer made.
